TABB is FAb

July 24 Waterfront Park Concert

A triumphant return to Crystal Beach  by the Toronto All Star Big Band was hardily welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd on July 24, 2022.  Despite thunderstorm warnings, the Sunday Concert at Crystal Beach's Waterfront Park went off swinging in style as a talented young troupe entertained the crowd of big band fans and their families.

Even the little ones enjoyed dancing to the jazzy songs and songs of the music that made the nearby former Crystal Beach Amusement Park famous during the 1930s and 1940s when the greats of the genre played at the Crystal Ballroom. All that is left of that golden time are memories, but those memories remain thanks to bands like TABB.

The picture to the right is of the presentation of a generous grant by the Meridian Credit Union to the Friends of Crystal Beach towards the TABB Waterfront Concert. L-R: Anne Jackson MCU; FOCB President Don Lubberts; Carrie Smith MCU; Sarah Cousineau MCU; Gayle Martineau FOCB Vice President. The event was co-sponsored by the Meridian Credit Union.

Below are some pictures provided by our "official photographer" Rick Doan of the concert.
